YOU'RE 2AM
If I had to choose a time you'd be 2AM baby, my baby when desire creeps in-- you are open, welcoming, moist half asleep with dreams yet to dream you open to me with soft scents of passion you are the notes tumbling out of Miles' horn, insistent and sculpted quiet while slinging thunder with little drama you garner Oscars understated with words underlined you're brown whiskey and false dawns spices from Marrakech grass newly greening you're Easter and Spring renewing and rebirthing you resurrect my love and repair the spidery cracks in my undernourished soul you are the constant amongst change the calm amongst trauma the Llamas amongst the wild horses your love envelopes me landing lightly on my dimming dreams you're solace and tranquility you're 2AM baby, my baby from:"ALL THE GOODBYE PLACES" |
